Lung Disease/Problems with breathing
Expert: Stacey Lloyd - 9/13/2006
QuestionGood day,
I am writing on behalf of my 68 yr old mother who does not have access to a computer.
Although she recently quit, she was a long, long time smoker who had always experienced ocasional dificulty with breathing over the years.
But it's gotten to the point where it's pretty much an everyday problem. She had been hospitalized back in late January for 8 days with a serious sinus infection. Once she was released, her breathing was not as severe but would still plague her if she walked a mere few feet. She got her appetite back which had diminished drastically before her hospitalization. Now her breathing is getting unbearable where she needs to use her primatene mist all too often. Accompanied with the breathing problem is an ulcer-like pain in her center that prevents her from consuming many foods. It's aggravated even more when she hasn't eaten over a stretch of hours.
She prefers alternative remedies.
Any advice you can offer would be very much apreciated. Thank you for your time.
Sincerely,
Laura
