Question Hello, Doctor.
Please advise what are the symptoms of TB in the liver? Also, how
serious is this, is there an effective cure and if so, how long would
recovery take?
Best regards,

Answer Desi, Great question!
Since TB is transmitted from person to person via coughing, sneezing, etc., the TB attacks the lungs first. It generally will mainly in the lungs because it loves oxygen. However, sometimes the mycobacteria tuberculosis will enter the bloodstream and travel to other parts of the body, such as kidneys, lymph nodes, brain, spine, etc. and reak havoc. This is called Miliary Tuberculosis and is life-threatening. No matter where the TB is located in the body, the symptoms will generally be the same.
