About Gary
Expertise
Will attempt to answer any question on respiratory disease, but please don`t ask me to make a diagnosis. Although I`ve worked as a respiratory specialist nurse in the UK for 6 years, I know nothing about the health systems of other countries. I have a particular interest in asthma, COPD, spirometry, and tuberculosis.

Question
hello gary.. i was wondering if u know if there are signs if sarcoidosis is "flaring up" ? i was diagnosed with it a few months ago, but they say its inactive at this time.. what can i expect in the future and treatments are available?  thank you, reba

Answer
Hi Reba
I think the best thing that i can do is direct you to a reputable website that will answer many, if not all, of your questions. I like the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute website. Here's a link to it. It's a good basic reference to many conditions. this link should take you straight to the sarcoidosis pages. All the best
