I had ITP. When it was diagnosed my platlet count was at 4k I was treated with IVG and high dose steroids (prednisone). That was 5 months ago. I have been broke out on my nose and checks since the skin is red and flakey. The dr.s said this was because of the steroids but it never cleared up. Also, over the past three weeks I have had horrible headaches. Doing research of my own I found that both headaches and a " butterfly" shaped rash across the bridge of the nose are symptoms of lupus. I say all that to say this. I believe I have lupus, and I now believe that my ITP wasn't my condition, but rather a symptom of the undiagnosed lupus which I think I have
