Lutherans - hell and the devil

Expert: Gordon F. Stoneburner - 4/6/2009

Question
do Lutherans belive in these things?

Answer
Edward:

The conservative groups of Lutherans accept hell and Satan as real.  The more liberal groups of Lutherans do not accept these as real, only as figurative representations of "existence" apart from God, or "evil".

My church, the Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod, accepts both as real and as described in Scripture.

In Christ's Service,

Gordon Stoneburner
