Question
My daughter has gone to catholic school since she was 3.  She is now entering 9th grade High School.   We are now sending her to a Luthern High School.  Is that going to confuse her?  We are Catholics we go to church but is she going to learning different at school.  Is the Luthern religon much different?  We are sending her to this school because it is a private school and down the street from our home and because we looked into it and it is a very good school.  And we do not want to send her to a public school.  She did not want to go to the Catholic High School because it was a big campus she is a shy quiet person and I think she felt comforable in a smaller campus then the big campus.  But I worried if we are going to confuse her with the religion.  Please help.
Thank you, Olga Niazian

Answer
Olga:

While there are significant differences between Catholics and Lutherans, we are still closer in many respects compared to other denominations.

I would suggest talking to her on a regular basis about what she is learning.  This way, you can continue to influence your daughter, and will feel better about what she is learning.

I do not anticipate significant issues.  Most Lutheran schools have just as many non-Lutherans as Lutherans.
