Hi,

I was wondering what information you could give me on the various incarnations of "Suicide is Painless." Specifically, my two questions are: 1) Who was the artist/performer of the instrumental version used as the TV theme song, and 2) I'm aware of the Marilyn Manson recording, the Ventures recording, and the Lady & Bird one. Are there others?

No idea who did the TV version, but you haven't heard a good version until you hear Ahmad Jamal's jazz version of the song... too cool... and, for my money, the best version is the one done in the film, acoustic guitar and one voice...
