The only thing the Voltage Stabilizer feeds on most MG's is the Temp gauge and Fuel Gauge.  If you have a Stabilizer that was acting up you would most likely get inaccurate readings on both gauges.



If your having problems with gauges, wipers etc not functioning you have probably lost power to the green wire circuit (depending on what year MGB your talking about).  You can start at the fuse box under the hood and check for power feeding to the green wires.  Wiggle the spade connections, pull them off and reseat them.  If it doesn't fix the problem continue to chase connections in those green wires.  they split off to several different accessories.  Be patient and persistent and I'm sure you will find the problem.



Consider getting in touch with Howard so he can hook you up with the electrical schematic for your year.  It will make it easier to chase those green wires.
