MG Car Repair/FLashers and blinkers not working

I am looking to purchase a 1980 MG. The man selling it said, the turn signals are not working now. Someone looked at it and pushed the flasher button and it is now stuck. Then the tune signals stopped working. Any advise?  Thank you, Cheryl777

Hi Cheryl.

The turn indicator lamps are wired through the emergency hazard flasher switch.  If the switch fails then the turn indicators stop working.  This is a common fault on many MGs.

If the hazard switch has stuck and you cannot "unstick" it, then you need to replace the switch.

They are not expensive and can be purchased from Moss Motors.
