MIDI and Computer Generated Music - Cubase 4 vstinstrament recording

Expert: jay - 12/19/2008

Question
Having problem recording go 2 play and record something but completly doesnt play the first note when played back.tends to happen when i open more than 2 vst instraments.

Answer
Sounds like you are simply missing the first note because you are playing it before the beat. Without more details on your recording process, this is all I can say.

Make sure you are recording at least 2 bars before you start playing notes. When looping, include a measure before and after the loop to ensure all your notes are captured. Also, check the timing of your fist note and make sure it is not set to play before the first beat of that measure.

Cheers,
