Question
I want to connect my Casio MA-150 mini MIDI keyboard with
my PC. What do I need to do that?
My PC doesn't has any MIDI-IN port.
I've heard of a device named MIDI PORT. What is it?
what is midi port for system, what are the requirements, what
are the places in india that they are availale

Answer
You need a USB to MIDI converter - a box with MIDI IN and OUT ports on one side for your keyboard (you will need two MIDI cables to do this), and a USB port on the other to connect to your computer (you will need a USB cable for this).

This box simply converts the MIDI signal into the USB signal information for the PC to read... thus making it accessible to music software running inside the PC.

Google "MIDI to USB converters" and order from an online dealer that has international shipping.

The converter itself will cost about $50 US, plus about the same again for shipping and duty taxes to India.

Locally, any large city with an electronic music section should carry the device.

Happy composing...
