Question I have a tascam us 122, ensoniq ts-12, and akai mpc, I've tried to hook the midi up, I've followed the instructions, and nothing, all i get is high pitched noise,, I am getting a midi signal, i have cubase le, and cooledit, it won't record anything, I'm at a loss ready to give up, I don't knoew if i have my keyboard set right to midi, or what, I'm totally new to midi, any help would be great
Answer Hi,
Please ensure that you have connected the MIDI the correct way. The standard way of conneting MIDI is to swap the cables at the keyboard end (MIDI OUT jack does not go to MIDI OUT port of the keyboard but to the MIDI IN)
Ensure that your keyboard is running in GM Mode, please check the manual for the same. Turn down the faders for the channel before unless you are sure of getting a MIDI signal. Tell me how you are wiring up your devices.
