I've XXL edition + Bible.
I can just play keyboard (not guitar) but wanna make full songs using FL Studio (I can compose music!)
Wats d way? Can I add guitar input using keyboard without knowing how to play guitar.
Wat is the additional hardware required for FL Studio?
I mean, I dunno much bout controllers n how to use em!
My main queries are:
Q.1: What is FL Studio
A: As per my knowledge, it is a software which helps u compose music....a virtual studio ...CORRECT ME if i m not.
Q.2: Do I need any other musical instrument to use FL Studio.
A: I think yes, a synthesizer/keyboard... (Correct me)
Q.3: Can I make tunes like that of guitar using FL without knowing how to play guitar?

Q.4: In FL Studio manual, (Help-->COntents), I saw there somethin as controllers. What are they?
Are they different from a regular synthesizer/keyboard?
A: (dont know)
Please explain me...
Thank You!
Answer Well, first of all, FL Studio is a complex piece of software... very powerful, but very complex. I suggest you start reading the manual cover to cover. But to try to briefly answer your questions:
1) FL Studio is an advanced audio player application that plays back loops of audio that you place into a grid pattern to create sequences of music. But there are grids, and sub-grids, and a million ways that they all interact. You can also put in loops of MIDI, which trigger audio samples.
2) You don't strictly need any other hardware to use FL Studio, but it will be much easier to enter and play notes using a MIDI keyboard controller.
3) To create a guitar sound, you will need to purchase a guitar Soundfont, load it into a separate Soundfont player (such as sfz), then create a MIDI file to trigger the guitar notes. Soundfonts can be purchased online at various places... (try www.jayzensound.com) and I think the sfz+ Soundfont player is a separate upgrade to FL Studio.
3) FL Studio can create sound in a number of ways: directly playing an actual audio waveform, triggering an audio sample via MIDI, or using a controller to play an internal audio synthesizer. These synths can also be controlled via MIDI patterns and loops.
Probably, this doesn't help you much. I suggest you get something a little more simple to start... such as Sonar Home Studio, or even Acid. These are great programs that allow you to compose your own music with an interface that is a little easier to learn. You will still need a MIDI synthesizer/keyboard, and Soundfonts will allow you to create realistic Bass, Piano, and Guitar parts (and anything else you can imagine!)...
