Question I am going to buy a m-audio firewire interface, but I don't know the technical differences (i mean sound quality) between a "Solo" and a "410" version
Obviously the 410 seems more professional, but because i need to plug just a gt6 into the digital spdif input, I am not needing midi or other connectors which may increase price of the 410 instead of the Solo interface.
My problem is: will the sound of the 410 for just one digital spdif input be as good as the Solo interface?
Thanks for any help!
Answer Both units will do what you require with similar sound quality. But I would suggest that you get the 410... it offers better specs, level meters, options for future expansion (you may want to add another instrument or vocals), plus the MIDI connectors will allow you to connect to the GT6 and control/save/recall its functions via your laptop - something that could come in very handy.
