Question Vijay,
First off, thanks for taking some time to look at my "newbie" question ;)
I am setting up a home studio of sorts and running into problems with a sync between my computer and the hardware.
The computer equipment being used is Nuendo software and E-MU 1212 Audio card on a PC. I recently bought a MOTU Midi TimePiece II in order to sync the computer to my keyboard and drum machine. I don't have any idea how to get the MOTU to work with my PC. Maybe you have some thoughts on this.
Respectfully,
Aaron
Answer Hi,
This is more of a timing issue. First of all, please connect Nuendo, drum machine and the keyboard together, ensure that the computer is the master. You do that by connecting the midi out cables from your computer to the midi in of your keyboard, and use the midi thru to connect the drum pad. Ensure that chn 10 is setup correctly between the keyboard, the pad and the computer.
The next thing is to tell the software to transmit explicit midi info when a song is playing. I don't use Nuendo, but use Cakewalk. Cakewalk has an option called "Midi Song pointer" or the MTC (Midi Time Clock), please check for a similiar option on your software. Now when you play all this how much of lag do you get ?,
