Question
Dear David,

Greetings !

We have a sql database and oracle database we are connecting from SQL (using .net application) to the oracle database ,
This is working fine however when we create a new oracle database
in a separate server , the same SQL connection is not getting connected to the new oracle database , it is giving an error
invalid user name password..

following is the connection string used for connection

<add name="IntegrationERPDBConnectionString" connectionString="Data Source=(DESCRIPTION =(ADDRESS_LIST =(ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP)(HOST = Majana-ERP)(PORT = 1521)))(CONNECT_DATA =(SERVICE_NAME = ORCL))(HS=OK));User Id=majan_test;Password=log;" providerName="Oracle.DataAccess.Client"

Best Regards
Natraj

Answer
I'm afraid I don't know what this means:

we are connecting from SQL (using .net application)

Please provide more information.

Also, I know almost nothing about Oracle, so I might be of much help here. Have you looked at the logs available in Oracle to see if it is, indeed, an invalid ID/password combination?
