Question Hi. I have a question about downloading music on an iPod. Is it also possible to download album cover art, liner notes, etc.? Thanks
Answer Dear Danielle,
So sorry for my tardiness, but I've been working hard keeping my computer company, Lazarus Communications, caught up and running smoothly. In addition, I undertook a major VW Passat repair job and spent 5 days straight underneath my car (success, but lots of lost time--better than paying the $1550 that the mechanic wanted, I suppose). Anyway, the ipod can't download anything directly unless it is the iPod touch, but all you need to do is to sync it up with your Mac or PC. Here's what to do:
Open iTunes and go to the Advanced pull down menu and select "Get Album Artwork" and iTunes will find the artwork in the Itunes store. If that doesn't find the ones you want, you may want to try CoverScout, a Mac program that finds and configures your album artwork. When you sync your iPod with iTunes, your cover art should download as well.
As for things like liner notes, even though those are extremely important to those of us who truly enjoy music and the artists that create it, iTunes is just STARTING to support that, with the newest iTunes release. The liner notes will be included on some music you purchase from the iTunes Store under their "LP Library."
If you need ANY other questions answered, please ask a followup question OR go to LazCom.com and follow the email links to my email, okay?
Sincerely,
Jeffrey Wrobel
