Question QUESTION: THe kids brought home an old apple ibook from school and would like to be able to use it for internet research on our wireless network. It has an airport card and is running OS 9. When the airport is on it indicates it has a signal, but when trying to connect to the internet it is given an error message. I suspect I am not configuring the airport correctly, but just haven't been successful in finding out how to do it. Any suggestions?
ANSWER: Hi Doug
Check to see if you have the Airport software installed.
QUESTION: The software is installed. The airport tab shows the network name after entering the password and a signal level. You are not, however, able to connect to the internet.
Answer Doug
As I don't have a machine running OS 9 anymore, I can't help much with this.
But check the TCP/IP Control Panel and see if that has an option for Airport.
If that doesn't help, download the manuals here and read through them;
