Mac Networking - file transfer

Expert: Bob Wood - 12/30/2002

Question
Hi Bob

I would like to transfer files from my PC Notebook (running Windows 95) to my iMac (running MacOS 8.6).  I don't have a CD burner or a Zip drive or anything like that.  Is there a way I can link the two machines with a patch cord?  or make the transfer via the IR port?

Thank you.

Answer
Hi Laszlo

it's fairly easy to do using an Ethernet Cable, but you'll need third party software to do this.

MacSOHO works well. You can get it here;

I think there's a free trial download that will let you try it out. It's very easy to use.
