Question
My grandpa just passed away, and he left behind a lathe.  We want to sell it since we do not have use for it.  Could you tell me how I would go about finding out what its worth?
this is the information on it.

Victor   280 X 585   (11"  X  23")

Manufactured by Taichung Machinery Works Co. Ltd

Date of Manufacture - Sept 1976

Type - 101     Machine # 856

thanks,
Jacalyn

Answer
If you are planning to sell it I would try to find a used machinery dealer to come out and give you a quote to purchase it from you. Try 2 or 3 different dealers and go with the best offer. You don't have to commit to selling it if you don't want to.
I am in the Boston area and have dealt with www.brothersmachinery.com

Hope this helps.
Dave
