Question
Dave, Iam having a problem drilling out spot welds. The drills dull very quickly.I am using an air drill, hand held and a HSS drill bit. The material is automotive sheet metal.

Answer
Charles,
I think you are just using the wrong tools. You can get a bit designed just for drilling out spot welds. Go to www.eastwoodco.com Item #19017 is a 3/8 inch spotweld drill designed just for drilling out spotwelds.
You can probably get one at a local autobody supply shop also.

Dave
