Question
I am currently a student and was assigned to do a short paper on tooling.  I have a good concept of what tooling is and how they work, but we were told to find sources on the internet that would help clarify the picture of what they are and how they work.  I searched for quite some time but did have much luck finding much on tool and dies.  I was wondering if you could give me some useful information or lead me to a few good sites.

Answer
Tooling is a very broad subject. Without knowing what kind of tooling you are talking about it is difficult to answer. I have been in this industry over 25 years and learn about new tools all the time. A good resourse is www.mmsonline.com or
www.homeshopmachinist.net  Both sites have many good articles and links to manufacturers.
