Question Hello, I have a PowerBook G4 and running OSX 10.3.9.
First I am having trouble opening itunes and the program freezes. SO I removed most of the itune files off the library and system and put them in a folder on my desktop. NOW when I open Disk Utility to check the HD the spinning beach ball just spins and spins. Application not Responding.iDVD and my other programs work fine. Just having trouble with itunes and Disk Utilities.
Any suggestions?

Grab your OSX.3.9 disk. Reboot, hold down the C key. This is the installer disk...but it ALSO has disk utility on it. Run disk utility from that CD/DVD to repair your internal hard drive.
Until you get Disk utility to verify and repair both the hard drive and the permissions (both part of disk utility), we shouldn't attack you itunes problem.
