Question Hi. I have just changed web host and the advice was that I could just delete
my old email account and all the messages I had on that account would still
stay on my computer. Unfortunately that was not true so now they have all
gone!!! Is there any way I can retrieve them??? I need some of them badly!
I run a Mac OSX (10.3.9) with mail.1.3.11(v622/624). Please tell me all is not
lost...
Thanks
Sofia
Answer Sofia,
Sorry, I only have bad news for you. Unfortunately this isn't a Mac problem. It sounds like you had an IMAP account; when you cut off access to it, and replaced it with your new host, your system sync'd it's email....removing the copy on your machine.
There's not much to be done, as the data was on the old web host, and since you moved hosting, they probably deleted your account.
