Question
I just installed OS 10.8.2. Yep it slowed down some. Any tip, trick etc to help get back some speed? thanks

Answer
You do not mention the Mac Model. You do not list the RAM. Was it an upgrade or clean install?
A new computer would be the best choice.

Adding more RAM would be the first and best option.  http://crucial.com   is preferred.
Using Activity Monitor can show if it may help.  http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1342

A larger, faster hard drive would be second option. Solid State Drive is an option http://eshop.macsales.com/shop/SSD/OWC/

There are maintenance utilities that may or may not help. http://www.macattorney.com/ts.html

iDefrag may or may not help.   http://www.coriolis-systems.com/iDefrag.php

You can Google for "speed up site:macworld.com"  (limits results to http://macworld.com)
