Question
(This is not a spam question or a homework question)
I was wondering would you please explain to me in a simple way that I can understand: why do computers only give you three attempts to put in the correct password or a answer to your security question?

Thanks

Answer
It is to keep drunk people from computing.  The decision was probably made or okayed by Steve Jobs.
I do not put passwords on my User accounts.
Did you know you can (on a Mac user login) make your password one letter (like 7)

Why only a few chances to enter password for Apple ID?
