Macintosh OS/Old FileMaker Pro files

Hello, hope you are well. I would like some advice re converting old Filemaker 2 files created in Apple OS 7.5.5 to Filemaker 5 on a G4 running OS 10.5.8.

Can expand if it helps.

Look forward to hearing from you,

Thanks for the enquiry.

This is a tricky one as I have not used Filemaker 5 for around 15 years and Filemaker 2 for around 25!

Filemaker 5 should be able to open Filemaker 2 files and convert them. You can get the guide from:

Let me know how you get on.

I would, however, strongly advise updating your databases! NB, you will need to do this in various stages. 2-> 5, 5 ->7, 7 ->12, 12->13. The new versions of Filemaker are a hue improvement but do need up to date OS.
