Question
hi :)
i need to make a clickable long rectangle tilted 45 degrees
the problem is when i create this shape  director dos not ignore the imptey space around it
is there a way to draw the shape of the hotspot.

im using:
director MX 2004 ,fireworks and photoshop

thank you

Answer
Hi Sam,

Yes there is a way to "draw" a hotspot.  You need to use the Vector Shape Window which is located on the top tool bar (the curvy "S" icon).  Draw your tilted rectangle in there and it will appear in the cast window.  You then need to make sure that the INK is set to "Background Transparent" (look at the Sprite tab in the Property Inspector).

Your hotspot should now be working as you wanted it to be.

Hope that helps!
