Subject: can i add new fonts to macromedia fireworks?

Question
hi there.  i don't know if this is an outdated service or not (i just googled this).

i want to be able to download and add extra fonts to use in macromedia fireworks.  is this possible?  i find the range of the ones they use there to be a bit limited.

any idea how to do this?

Answer
Do a search on yahoo for free fonts, etc… you will find sites with zip files to download. The files you are downloading will be font files. Create a folder to save these downloaded files in. Once you download the zip files you will need to extract the “font files” inside the zip. Extract them into a new folder within the folder you just created. (This is all to help keep you organized). Once you have all the files you want downloaded and extracted- go to your fonts folder.

You need to open your control panel  - you can click on the start button and navigate to your control panel – in here you will see a fonts folder. Open the fonts folder and from the file menu there will be an option to “install new font”. When you click this a “browse box” will appear, navigate to the folder which contains the extracted files. You can select all the text files to be installed at once. That's it. When you view your font selection you will see all your newly installed fonts.

Check out this one free font download site for fonts: www.1001freefonts.com/afonts.htm
This site is one of many……………
Hope this helps!
