Question
QUESTION: Hello

I can make changes in all pages but the main page  -  starting page.
www.mydomainname.com/index.htm as it appears in Contribute 3  .

Each time I try to make changes in the main page (index page as it shows in Contribute 3)  , I get the confirmation from Contribute -
"changes were done...published successfully",  but changes won't show on the main page.

All other pages, are being changes (published) with no problems at all!!

I use XP Home.

Any advice please?
Thanks,  Gabe

ANSWER: Try saving as your index file as a new name and then make changes and publish. see if this helps

QUESTION: Hello again

Thanks for a nice answer.  I see where the mistake is - I can see the changes in mydomainname.com/index   but not in mydomainame.com  which is my main page.

How do I change it in Contribute so it won't be in the index page but in the main lunching page?

thanks again   Gabe

Answer
The index page is your default page which will open when user will open your website. Sometimes; due to cache the files don’t come as the changed one, it simply shows the previous un-changed version, and we think that changes are not happening.

If you can see the index.htm page changed on the server, it means the changes are done, for confirmation you can ask any of your friends or use any other PC and logon to the website to see the page. Here; don’t type /index.htm but only the web blink.

Try this, hope this will help,
