Macromedia Freehand - Saving PDF

Expert: Huma Riaz - 10/16/2009

Question
I am working on a 2-color program and am using InDesign CS2. Another Graphic Artist is sending me PDF of ads for this program and he is using Freehand. Every ad he sends me is showing up as a 4C ad. He insists he is using Pantone 1795 and Black only. So I am assuming it is the way he is saving it, some preference maybe? How do you save a PDF or EPS in Freehand as a 2-color file? Any help is greatly appreciated!

Answer
Make it separate, each color for each file. I think this could be the only way you can get spot color in another program from freehand. manipulate them (and color them individually) once you import them from freehand.
I dont knwo if there's another way of this situation, if you find so, kindly let me know as well

Hope this will help, feel free to ask anything further
