Question
I am creating a document. Part of it will be a text box with two columns. How do I add line numbers to the text box. (I think this is called a gutter with line numbers, I'm not sure.) I want a number every 5 lines. I'm using Freehand 10 on an XP computer.

Answer
Hello Tom,

You will need to work out with Tab setting. In freehand if you need bullets you have to type your number/bullet before the text (first letter of the starting paragraph).
And between text and bullet/number, press tab once.

1.<-tab space-> Your text here

Then on top of the text box there will be row showing tab structure (the gray part of the text box). Adjust the setting from this row by dragging an arrow on ruler. If you need tab setting help I can help you out in detail if you ask specifically.

The gutter space is called between the two columns text gap.

Feel free to ask anything further
