Question
Hello,

I would like to create a website like this:

http://www.fineprint.com/

could you please tell me which software I should use to do this? Is there some tutorial I can buy somewhere?

Also how do I learn how to do those drop down menus? Are they called Cascading Style Sheets?

thanks

Answer
Salaam Asad,

The website you showed is a good site made by some professional. The site is simple and neat, while creating a professional website; all you need to balance is website standards with esthetic sense.

You can always try for the best. And create a site better than this.

There are numerous of tutorials a available on the net which you can try and keep learning. The software you can use for this are Adobe Photoshop or Macromedia Fireworks for creating graphic images. Macromedia Dreamweaver for creating HTML pages, and if you need to put some animation on your website you can use Macromedia Flash or Adobe Imageready (by installing Photoshop in your pc, you will automatically get imageready).

Following are few tutorials which will help you to understand the graphics and dreamweaver dropdown menu concept.

You can create drop down menus in Macromedia dreamweaver or fireworks, although you can create menus in through CSS too but normally cascading style sheets make you able to look your page more beautiful and enhanced in features. While drop down menu lets you have the maximum number of links and navigations in a small area in organized manner. And it is quite easy to make drop down menu in dreamweaver.

1.   draw a table'
2.   select the text of the link (must be image) and go to Window > Behavior
3.   Click on the + button appearing on the top of the window pallete and select the option ‘Show Pop-up Menu'

Now hit and try the stuff.

I hope this information will be helpful to you, feel free to ask anything further
