Macs/Apples/video converter?

Question
I'm using iMovie on my Mac to create film clips and I downloaded iSkysoft Video Converter the other day. I'm not actually "using" the iSkysoft, so I was wondering whether it is working in the background. I would like to trash it but I am not sure whether I should do that, for fear that I might be removing something that I need. I downloaded it in the first place because I thought that video from my camera needed converting before I could do anything with it. Can you enlighten me on this?

Answer
if you have never "run" this video converter then you can just safely drag it's icons to the trash. If you did run it then it would be cleaner to use an uninstaller that can find all associated files and remove them. http://www.appzapper.com/ is an example.
