About Mark S. Farrar AIMC
Expertise
I can answer questions on stacked decks, mnemonics and magic squares.

Experience
I have worked with stacked decks for many years, and am an avid reader of Simon Aronson's work in this area.

I have been using mnemonics for over 30 years, often in conjunction with Magic Squares (see below).

I wrote a book on Magic Squares as my "entrance examination" to become a Member of The Magic Circle, and regularly receive and answers e-mails on this subject.

Organizations
I am an Associate of The Inner Magic Circle, as well as belonging to the Northamptonshire Magicians' Club.

Publications
I have also written a series on stacked deck magic for The Young Magicians' Club magazine.

Subject: overhand shuffle control 2

Question
In the royal road to card magic, the second section on the overhand shuffle control, explains that you should: undercut, injog and shuffle off as usual. You should then place the tip of your right thumb on the jogged card and make a break. Then you should shuffle off the cards but stop when you get to the 'broken' one. I get stuck at the place the tip of your right thumb bit onwards. I would appreciate it if anyone could explain in more detail.

Answer
Daniel,

Thanks for your question and sorry for the delay in replying.

If I could show you this in person, you'd get it in about ten seconds, but it will take me a ton of words to describe, so instead, I've found the following video that I think should help:

http://www.revver.com/video/320231/injog-false-shuffle-learn-card-magic-tricks/

If not, then do a search on Google YouTube.com for terms such as "overhand injog shuffle control video" - you should find plenty .

I hope this helps, but if not, then please feel free to get back to me with a follow-up question.

Best wishes,

Mark
