Question
Planning the big family vacation to Bar Harbor for a week.  I know New England weather can be unpredictable, but when do you recommend visiting Acadia?  Is there a better time as far as having less bugs?  Thanks so much.

Answer
Hi Jennifer,

Yes, weather can be unpredictable and so can the bugs.  I would avoid May, June and early July.  That typically is the "buggy" season.  The first or second week in August would be my "best" choices.

Kindest regards,

Tom Webster
