Question
Hi,

we are traveling from Europe in july for a week in Maine and would like to rent a place with oceanviews.  What quaint towns would you suggest that still have the old maine feel, good lobster and good walking+nature.

Thanks

Answer
Hi Sandy,

I am not an expert on accommodations so I would refer you to various Chambers of Commerce within the State of Maine.  Certainly the towns near Bar Harbor, Maine should be on your radar, so I would recommend you contact the Bar Harbor Chamber of Commerce.  There are several small coastal towns within a half hour of Bar Harbor that could give you the feel you seek.  Bar Harbor itself is probably too commercialized for what you want.  You want to put Acadia National Park (near Bar Harbor) on your "must see" itinerary.  There is no better place for nature and walking.  Good lobster is always available in coastal Maine.

  Hope this helps.

Kindest regards,

Tom Webster
