Maine - Weather in May

Expert: Tom Webster - 5/18/2009

Question
Hi!

We are coming to Northeast Harbor on May 25, and departing for Great Duck Island on May 26.  While we realize we may see some cold and rain, can we look forward to any sunny comfortable days before we leave on June 2?
Thanks!

Answer
Hi Amy,

Oh ye of little faith.  According to weather.com the forecast for the afternoon of May 26 is for sunny skies and a temperature in the middle 60's and all day for May 27 is for partly sunny skies and a temperature approaching 70.  Remember this is only May in Maine and spring has barely started here.  I would say those are two pretty good days.

Kindest regards,

Tom Webster
