Subject: New England in the Fall

Question
Hi Tom,
My wife and I are celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary this August and in the Fall we plan to go to New England.
Could you tell us the best 10 day period when you think the area will be at its best?
We are thinking the first week in October?
Thanks!
Keith

Answer
Hi Keith,

Northern New England usually peaks during the first week in October (Middle to northern Vermont, New Hampshire and Maine) but every year can be somewhat different. Southern Vermont, New Hampshire and Massachusetts usually peaks during the second week.  Connecticut is usually the third week.

Since I don't know what area in New England you were thinking of, I tried to cover it all.

Hope this helps.  Sorry for the delay in answering.  I forgot to tell them I was going on vacation last week.

Kindest regards,

Tom Webster
