Question My Caloric wall mount oven seems to "eat" ignitors.
When I replace the ignitor, the oven works fine for a few cooks, but then the gas will not re-ignite when the thermostat "tells" it to. My next step was going to be to replace the safety valve, as there really are only two parts to the glow-bar ignition system: the ignitor and the safety valve.
Answer There is actually the burner tube and if there is a burnt hole near the ignitor, it will eat them like candy. Check the burner tube carefully. What does the flame look like? Nice orange tips about 1/2 inch long?
