Major Appliances/Kitchenaid Dishwasher Stopping Mid-Cycle
I have a kitchenaid dishwasher model #KUDM25SHWH1. Serial # FK1130564. Its 10 years old or so, and has been sitting unused for the last year. I just re-installed it, and it had been working great for 2 weeks until it started acting strangely. it stopped mid-cycle and all the lights that had been on ("rinse," "normal," and "energy saver dry" )started blinking in unison, but with no pattern. it turned back on and off multiple times throughout the cycle, and every time it stopped, the lights would just blink, but it did eventually finish the cycle. then the next time i tried to run it, it stopped, the lights blinked, but it wouldn't re-start. opening and closing the door doesn't re-set it. once i was able to reset it by hitting cancel and re-starting. then it ran a couple of times after that normally. tonight it started blinking and stopping again-- once it goes into blinking mode, it wont run, and even if i hit cancel, and then choose other buttons, they flash too, but it wont run. no matter what buttons i press, they start blinking. i turned the breaker off for a minute and turned it back on, and then i was able to run a rinse cycle. seems like it's re-set for now, but i guess it's just a matter of time before it happens again. any suggestions?
If the door switches are good and not intermitting thus confusing the micro-processor, the electronic control is your problem. Original part number is 9744031 and your cost is 169.95 in new or 85.00 in good quality used. Shipping would be 7.95 in new United States.
Waiting to hear from you,
Eric and Ann Campion
