Major Appliances/Disconnecting a dryer buzzer

Question
I have a Kenmore 970 C84102 00 dryer and I would like to disconnect the buzzer. I assume to do this I have to take the top off the dryer but I havn't been able to. I removed 2 screws connecting the top to the back and tried to slide a scraper along the edge to undo any sort of clips, but nothing seems to working. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Answer
We can help but first I need to know what unit you have since Kenmore does not manufacture their own appliances.  I tried running the model number in the Kenmore look-up but unfortunately the model number as submitted does not come up.  Please verify your model number and I will see what I can do for you.
