Major Appliances/Dryer Vent in Wall

Question
We are purchasing a home that has a dryer vent that goes up through the wall and out the attic.  How do we clean the vent to remove the lint?  We watched some videos online, and it appeared that just the part that attaches to the dryer is cleaned.  We thought the entire tubing should be removed and cleaned out. Any info. appreciated.  Thanks

Answer
They do make vent brushes that extend 20 feet.  Most often however, the vertical venting if smooth metal or PVC piping, they normally do not block often.  Might want to check the roof vent and then shine a light down the vent and see what it looks like.  Let us know what you find.
