Major Appliances/Whirlpool dryer

Our dryer is about 3 years old. We have a timer with a sensor side and timed side.  The dryer won't heat on the timed side, but does on the sensor side. However it is a little touchy on that side.  Element does heat up and cool off.  Is this a timer issue

Most likely a timer issue but I would really need a model number to see your unit as you do to answer with more professionlism..

Waiting to hear from you,
