Major Appliances/Gaffers & Sattler Model W5441G gas stove

QuestionMy Gaffers & Sattler gas stove, model #W5441G has a Robertshaw model BJ gas thermostat that needs to be replaced. Did notice that on the side of the thermostat there is "D4" if this is of any use or help. Can not seem to locate a replacement for it. My local appliance repairman doesn't work on these old stoves and is not able to (or doesn't want to) provide me with who (brand/maker)else makes replacements for my thermostat. Are there are any? I found a few Robertshaw thermostats for sale, but I don't have a clue as to the correct model/part number I'm in need of.(Sellers are of no help with this) I'm hoping you could maybe point me in the right direction. I love my old stove and don't want to replace it, I just want to work right again. Your input is greatly appreciated.
AnswerHello Cherise,
The BJ was a series of valves used on many makes, I had a new one that sold about 3 months ago. However, the original valve may be in our inventory in new or in used. Is the thermostat out? Can you take digital pictures of it so we can try to match it that way. If any of this is of interest, please copy and paste your question and my answer and email it to sales@affordableappliance.com and we will continue that way. This forum only supports text, no pictures. I have found a bunch of cross references to the BJ series kit, but they will be specific whereas that kit would have had instructions and additional parts to make it work, under the crosses, it must match because there will be no instructions or fittings or mounting options. Thank you for your request, I will look for your email. Ann
