Question
I would like to know a brand of mascara that will make my lashes look longer and thicker. I am  currently using Maybelline volum express for thickness followed by maybelline unstoppable for length. Neither is doing much good. I have thin, fair lashes that don't show up well.

Thanks

Jo

Answer
Hi Jo,

You're using a great mascara. Maybelline has some of the best mascaras! Chances are if the ones you're using aren't giving you the look you desire, you could go from mascara to mascara and not get the results you want, too.

The problem is your thin lashes. Having said that, I have a couple suggestions for you.

There is this amazing product called Revitalash - which I currently use and know a good amount about. If you buy it directly from their website, it goes for about 150 bucks a tube - but if you get it from amazon or ebay [still sealed, always] you can get it for as low as 60 bucks. What it does is it stimulates the growth of your eye lashes by applying a thin layer of the product [just like eyeliner] on a clean, dry lash line. Some people see results in 3 weeks, some in 6, some in 10. It's very successful, and I do recommend it very much.

In addition to this, you can also opt to dye your eyelashes. This will help make them appear to be longer and thicker when you're not wearing mascara, or you can opt to not wear mascara altogether! You can do this yourself by purchasing the product, or you can do a little research and see if salons/spas near you offer this service. It's a vegetable dye instead of a harsh chemical dye, and it's applied just like mascara, and left on for 10 minutes, and then washed off. It's very safe and easy. The eyelash dye is called Reflectocil.

Let me know what you think and if you have anymore questions.

Sarah
