Question Hi Sarah! I am going to an evening cocktail party on Saturday that will be held outdoors. I will be wearing a brown dress with gold accessories. I am Caucasian, fairly light skin tone (although I plan on self-tanning before), blue eyes, and dark blonde hair. I am wondering what makeup colors (eyes and lips, specifically) would look best with my dress? Thanks!
Answer Hi Lindy,
Considering brown is a pretty neutral color, I would go with colors that best suite your eyes. Gray, navy, plum, taupe, beige, apricot and peach are colors you're going to want to stick with. These colors will make your eyes pop, and not clash with your dress.
If you're going to go with a fairly bold color [like plum or navy] I would keep your lips very simple in color - nude or a very subtle mauve. If you're going to go fairly simple with your eyes, like gray, peach or taupes, it would fine to go bolder with your lips. Try a deep pink or medium berry color. This will also offset your pretty blue eyes!
