Subject: burnt skin
Question Dear Sir/Madam,
my wife and 7 year daughter got bad burnt by over exposure to our mediterranean sun when the UV index was 11+....can you recommend something I can do to alleviate their pain and discomfort pls.

Answer Hello-
So sorry your family got sunburned. That isn't very fun. I would suggest staying out of the sun for a week or so. Wear loose clothing, use cool to cold compress to soothe, also applying aloe vera is best. I would also put the aloe in the fridge. Not only will the aloe help heal the burnt areas but the coldness is relieving.
Over the counter pain relievers like ibuprofen or acetaminophen can be used for the pain of a sunburn.
If they experience unusual symptoms like fluid-filled blisters, fever, or dizziness, contact your nearest doctor for immediate medical assistance.
