QuestionI am only 20 years old, I am a smoker. And I have detected a few lines around my eyes, and also dark circles under my eyes. Are there any home remedies you know that will take these away?
Thanks.
AnswerHello Ali,
It's good that you mention that you are a smoker. As you may know, smoking (like alcohol and recreational drugs) is quite detrimental to the beauty and health of the skin, making it age prematurely, as you have noticed on yourself. If you can't stop smoking and you really care for your beauty, then you have to be disciplined both for your daily skin care and with your diet and detox.
The dark circles under your eyes are a sign of "kidney energy" misbalance. Given that your kidneys are purifying your blood and body from waste and pollutants, it's important to support their function by drinking pure water and maybe good green tea. In Traditional Chinese Medicine, the Kidneys are also the organs of life energy and ancestral energy and they are linked with the Water element and the emotion of fear. Your emotions reflect in and ON your body. So if you experience fear past, present or future, seek emotional support to remedy that (books, groups, therapist, friends...)
Detoxifying will help you at a systemic level for your wrinkles and your dark circles. You can read more about detox in this article:

It's about Spring detox but it give you the basics.
You also need to make sure that you eat enough antioxidants as smoking depletes your antioxidant pool very quickly. Make sure that you take a good multivitamin, with a lot of magnesium, vitamin C and D3. Take also essential fatty acids supplements in the form of primrose, borage or black currant oil.
As far as what you should do topically, I would advise Raspberry seed oil, Apricot Kernel oil, Wild Musk Rose oil and Shea butter. If you cannot find these pure products, find creams which contain a decent amount of those. Exfoliate once a week and do purifying and nourishing masks weekly.
For your dark circles, use compresses of Cornflower and Chamomile floral water for 10 min on your eyes a few times a week.
This is a long answer to your simple question and it involves quite a few things to do. But let's get real, any product promising you the vanishing of your skin issues is just a plain lie. You have to do something deep. Now is a good time to start.
I hope you find this answer helpful.
Have a beautiful day,
Take good care
