Question QUESTION: Do you have any experience with hidradentitis suppurativa? Also, with papulopustular rosacea?
ANSWER: Hello Ashley,
Given that the 1st condition is a sub-form of acne and the 2nd one is a sub-form of rosacea, I can say that I have experience with these conditions, but not particularly the sub-forms you are mentioning.
Before I can try to help you, you need to let me know which parts of your body are affected, how deeply and severely and how often. Once you give me more details, I can try to find solutions to help you.
I'm looking forward to reading you

QUESTION: Thank you sooo much!
I only have one spot on my body affected by hidradenitis-the spot where your leg meets your, you know what haha. Right on the underwear line pretty much, and it's just one spot that is pretty much constantly there, erupting once or twice a month. For the most part it is mild, but there are times when it gets pretty bad. I am concerned about it getting worse as I get older (I am 24)
I have rosacea on my chin only. After all these years, I thought I was just having acne outbreaks that would only go away with the topical antibiotics, but my new doctor just told me it was rosacea, which explains why I just can't get rid of it. I went through a lot of stress about five months ago that triggered it, and it hasn't gone away since. This is probably the 5th time in my life I have had this, every time on my chin, once on my cheeks after getting a too strong facial. It's not redness like typical rosacea, it looks just like acne but it doesn't respond like acne. This time I have a lot of whiteheads I think they are? Just patches of small, raised white spots. I've stopped using all medications and only use witch hazel on my face. I appreciate this so much! Thank you!!
Answer Hello Ashley,
Here is what I can propose you: I'm going to give you simple advices here. If you're interested, then you implement this plan and contact me back in 2-3 weeks to let me know how it goes. Then we'll take it from there. How does that sound to you?
First of all, please make sure that you eliminate any synthetic and tight underwear and tight clothing. Please also be ultra careful if you do bikini waxing and always disinfect after waxing and before applying a body lotion.
Second, please eliminate as much sugar and sweets and candies and soft drinks and pastries (etc) as you can from your diet. Drink plenty of water and green tea (prepare it yourself, it's better and healthier!). If you don't have a diet rich in essential fatty acids like omega-3 and omega-6, then consider taking evening primrose or black current oil soft gels.
Third, consider doing a detox program. You can have a look at what I propose here: http://www.naturepurity.com/holistic/springdetox.html
I am preparing another article for Fall Detox, but it's not ready yet... so use the Spring Detox, it's already full of good advices for you.
Use a lot of ginger tea (fresh ginger is better) and consider taking Echinacea root extract every day for 3 weeks.
On the hidradenitis spot, you can use a little bit of Tea Tree oil with a cotton swab. Please use uttermost care not to let it spread as it is burning on mucous membranes. YOu can also use witch hazel floral water (please make sure there's not chemical in there).
For the Rosacea, I would recommend to prepare your own facial mask with White Clay and Lavender, Witch Hazel and Chamomile floral waters. You can find description of the floral waters here: http://www.naturepurity.com/products/hydrosols.html.
and of the white clay here: http://www.naturepurity.com/cgi-bin/product.cgi?ref=cpa107&from=clay
so mix up the clay with the floral waters in order to get a smooth, but not dripping paste. Apply it on your face, avoiding the eye and lip contours and relax for 10-15 min. Rinse with fresh water and apply a moisturizer. Repeat once or twice a week.
I would also recommend to use a moisturizer with Wild Musk Rose oil as it contains natural retin-A which heals and rebalances the skin.
There is a lot more you can do, but what about you start with this?
Don't give up on healing your rosacea and having a beautiful skin.
Last tip: learn to love your body form top to bottom. In your case, it's even more important than for anyone else.
I hope you find this answer helpful.
Have a beautiful day,
Take good care
